Pintasan.co, Jakarta – The struggle of Raden Ajeng Kartini, as a symbol of women’s emancipation in Indonesia, has left a profound legacy that continues to inspire the nation’s women today. Her ideals regarding the importance of education, equality, and active participation of women in public spaces remain highly relevant in the modern era. In this context, Korps HMI-Wati (Kohati) plays a strategic role in actualizing Kartini’s spirit within the framework of contemporary Islamic and national values.

As the women’s organization under the Islamic Students Association (HMI), Kohati has become a platform for fostering the intellectual, leadership, and social potential of young Muslim women in Indonesia. By organizing various leadership programs, social movements, and academic forums, Kohati empowers its members to actively contribute to society while upholding religious and cultural principles. This reflects Kartini’s hope for women to have the courage, capability, and opportunity to actively shape the nation’s progress.

In line with the theme “She Illuminates: Kartini’s Spirit in Every Shade of Modern Woman”, Kohati embraces the diversity of modern Indonesian women, who are active in multiple roles as scholars, leaders, entrepreneurs, and agents of change.

Kohati believes that every woman has the right and responsibility to illuminate her surroundings with knowledge, integrity, and social awareness. Through its activities, Kohati continues to be a space for the regeneration of intelligent, independent, and socially conscious women leaders, in accordance with Kartini’s vision and spirit.
